Contrary to the negative perception usually associated, Snake is a very powerful and positive force - being the simplest of creatures in his nature, Snake is closest to the Creator by being at one with his own nature, and Snake is seen as a physical personification of Lightning because his shape and zig-zag movement reflects one of the most powerful forces in Nature - Lightning, which can be seen as the physical manifestation of the Creator's presence in the World. Snake also carries his medicine in his mouth - for those strong in Snake Medicine, the power of their words is a force to be considered
